You can contact us at privacy@qorteq.com for anything arising from this Policy. Also, a great resource for understanding your rights under the GDPR is the Information Commissioner’s Office in the UK at this address https://ico.org.uk/.

What information we collect and how we use it

If you register your interest in our products or services, or sign up to a newsletter we send out, you will be asked for information such as your name, contact details (phone and email), job title and company name. We will use this to contact you about your enquiry and subsequent interest in any product and service, and to send you a newsletter if you subscribed to it. We may also use this information to contact you about the delivery of a service or product you have contracted for.

We will not give or sell your personal information to another company. The only times we will divulge your personal information to another company is:

  • if we are required to by law
  • if it is necessary for the effective delivery of a product of service contracted for by our customer (for example where we use resources from another company for software development or to deliver some consultancy) in which case we make sure they agree to process that data in line with our Policy
  • if they process the personal data because of our normal business operations, for example, Microsoft hosts our email and office systems
  • if we sell this business or merge it with another, your personal information may be disclosed to our advisers, the advisers of the company buying us, and to the new owners.

Our website uses Cookies, which are small data text files that are sent from a server computer during a browsing session. Cookies are typically stored on your computer’s hard drive and are used by Websites to simulate a continuous connection to that site. To make our site more responsive to your needs we use cookies to track and manage information relative to your specific interests. In this way we can tailor our site to your needs, deliver a better and more personalised service and track the pages on our site that you visit. The use of cookies automatically identifies your browser to our computers whenever you interact with our site. Your browser options allow you to disable cookies. You should note that if you do disable cookies, you may not be able to access all the services on this site. We do not use cookies that profile or track you for marketing purposes.

Lawful basis for processing personal information

We will process information where we have your consent to do so, for example, where you have consented to receive a newsletter. In many cases the lawful basis will be under a contract we have to provide a service or product to you. We may also rely on a legitimate interest to process information and in so doing will take into account that we are dealing with organisations and with adult individuals operating in their business capacity.

How long we keep your personal information

Some information, such as certain financial information, needs to be kept for a period required by law. Where we hold data as a consequence of providing a product or service to a customer, the retention will be based on the terms of the contract for providing that product or service. Information related to marketing will be kept for a reasonable time (and in any event no longer than 36 months) after our last contact with you to make it easier if you choose to re-engage with us, or to facilitate a continuing discussion about a possible service or product.

Accuracy of information

It is important to both you and us that information is accurate. Please let us know if something changes by logging into your account (if you have one) or contacting us at privacy@qorteq.com.

Under the GDPR you have the right to ask us what personal information we hold. You can ask us by contacting us at privacy@qorteq.com and once we have confirmed your identity we will respond in line with best practice as advised by the Information Commissioner’s Office in the UK.
